Experience
Since 2019, I have had the privilege of instructing science courses to high school students. My tenure at Àrea d'estudi has allowed me to diligently guide numerous students in their preparation for the Selectivitat examination. Additionally, I have had the opportunity to impart my knowledge on various mathematical subjects to Bachelor's degree students. Some of these captivating courses include Numerical Methods, Real Analysis, and Complex Analysis. My unwavering commitment to fostering a deep appreciation for mathematics and physics has driven me to connect with students who may initially perceive these disciplines as daunting. Through my teaching, I endeavor to broaden their perspectives and help them discover the inherent beauty of science, much like my own.
If you have a keen interest in acquiring the services of a mathematics professor for any course or academic level, please do not hesitate to reach out to me via email at rosadodav4@gmail.com. I would be more than happy to provide you with information regarding my fees and terms of engagement.
During my first year in the
dual Masters program for Advanced Mathematics and Data Science, I had the unique opportunity to engage in concurrent employment
as a student researcher. The University of Barcelona bestowed upon me the coveted MASTER+UB grant, which not
only provided financial support but also served as a catalyst for pursuing a Master's degree
while fostering a scientific vocation within a research group.
Through this remarkable grant, I was granted entry into the esteemed Holomorphic Dynamics
research group, where I had the privilege of collaborating with Xavier Jarque i Ribera.
This remarkable opportunity paved the way for the culmination of my master's journey in
mathematics, as I embarked on my final thesis under Xavier Jarque i Ribera's guidance.
The final thesis will be available here in the near future.
In 2023, my collaboration commenced with the Agency of Cybersecurity of Catalunya, as part of my final thesis for the Data Science master's program. Tasked with the responsibility of analyzing data pertaining to cyberattacks, my objective was to construct a predictive model for such incidents.
Further details regarding the project and the forthcoming final thesis will be made available here in the near future.
Mathematics
During the final year of my bachelor's degree, I had the opportunity to delve into Holomorphic Dynamics and focus my research on the fascinating topic of root finding algorithms. Specifically, I dedicated my efforts to studying the dynamics of the Newton method when applied to polynomials within the complex field. Under the invaluable guidance of Xavier Jarque i Ribera, I successfully devised a novel numerical technique aimed at efficiently determining the zeros of a given polynomial.
Click on the Newton fractal located on the Riemann sphere in order to access the PDF file of my conclusive thesis. Could you determine the polynomial used for representing the dynamics on this sphere?
Throughout my pursuit of the Master's degree in Advanced Mathematics at the University of Barcelona, I established a Github repository as a centralized platform for organizing my academic endeavors. Within this repository, you will discover a comprehensive collection of assignments, projects, and meticulously transcribed lecture notes from my master's program. Additionally, I have meticulously documented my grades for each subject, allowing for a comprehensive assessment of my academic performance.
Please feel free to explore the referenced repository.
C-utils is a Github repository that offers a set of utility libraries that aim to minimize the necessity of writing repetitive C code for every project. These libraries address the common requirements I have encountered in numerous mathematical projects. The purpose of this repository is to gather and consolidate the most commonly used C functions in one place.
Please feel free to utilize the repository to your advantage and make valuable contributions by adding code you come across. Your contributions are highly appreciated and will enrich the repository for the benefit of the wider community.
Presently, I am working on my master's thesis in mathematics, with a specialization in Holomorphic Dynamics. My research specifically centers around root finding algorithms, delving into the intricacies of their properties. In the past, my focus was primarily on the Newton method algorithm, where I dedicated my efforts to comprehending its behavior within the complex field. However, my current pursuit involves working with the Jenkins-Traub algorithm, unraveling its inherent properties while endeavoring to enhance its numerical efficacy.
Further details regarding the project and the forthcoming final thesis will be made available here in the near future.
I have undertaken a personal and original project that endeavors to merge my two beloved domains in science: Artificial Intelligence and Complex Dynamics. I am utilizing AI and the Newton's method to discover all the roots of a polynomial with minimal initial conditions. Although certain theoretical advancements (check here) have been achieved, practical applications have not yet been realized. The idea is to use a ML model to find a probability distribution on the roots of a polynomial and then be used as an initial guess for the Newton method. This means that, with the aid of AI, we could find a neighbourhood of probability in which a polynomial root can be discovered, allowing for a certain margin of error. Subsequently, the Newton method can be applied to find the precise root. This concept promises to bestow a multitude of numerical benefits upon root finding algorithms!
In the near future, I will be launching a GitHub repository dedicated to this project.

Throughout my pursuit of the Master's degree in Data Science at the University of Barcelona, we embarked on two significant projects the fascinating domain of Natural Language Processing. The first one was about predicting whether a pair of questions asked on Quora are duplicates or not. The second one was about Named Entity Recognition problem (NER). NER problems are very useful in many contexts, from information retrieval to question answering systems.
Please feel free to explore both repositories.
Presently, I am working on my master's thesis, working in collaboration with the esteemed Agency of Cybersecurity of Catalunya. The focus of my project entails a comprehensive examination of the data provided by the Global Cyber Alliance, particularly AIDE. Through meticulous data exploration, I endeavor to derive meaningful insights and construct a robust ML model capable of predicting cyberattacks.
